Father, thank you for this answer to our prayers. i was fearing the worst, given the ICU situation. Thank you for looking after these two moms, and I pray that you will continue to strengthen both of them--as well as their children who are caring for them!

Update:

My wife’s mother is improving but the therapist and doctors say at this point that she will need a feeding tube for the rest of her life. The good news is that she has very good insurance and she can stay in rehab for over 100 days while they work with her. She seems to like it there and seems to enjoy seeing people come and go.

My mother had a good weekend.

Thank you so much for your prayers. God is listening and answering according to His loving wisdom.

Father, I'm sorry about the feeding tube. I'm sorry this dear lady won't have the pleasure of eating for the rest of her life. I thank you that she is improving, and that she has the insurance to allow her to stay in rehab. Thank you that she sees some positive aspect of this situation.

i thank you that Jim's mom had a good weekend. I pray that if his wife isn't home yet, that she will be soon. Father, give her a safe trip.

Update:

My wife is home, safe and sound. Because of the long therapy time, she felt fine about leaving her mother in the hands of the hospital and her brother. After she accumulates more vacation time, she plans to return to her mother’s side. For now, she is calling her mother each night. Improvement continues.

Thank you, Father, for the improvement and for the good care given to my mother-in-law. Thank you that she can talk better now, can walk more frequently (with a therapists help) and sit up longer. We praise you and ask in Jesus Christ’s name for your continual involvement in her recovery. Amen.

Father,

Hold these 2 moms in Your mighty protective hand and continue to bring good things into their lives. I praise You that both of them seem to be doing well and that peaceof'God's wife is back home. Thank You, Lord, for the tender mercies You extend to Your Children.

In Jesus' Sweet name I pray,

Lord I thank You for watching over these two dear mothers, and their families who love them very much and care for them. Mothers are such a joy and blessing that You provided for us Heavenly Father. We thank You for the gift of mothers and fathers.

You are our Heavenly Father and we praise You for your goodness, mercy, grace and forgiveness of our sins through the precious blood of Your only Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross to pay our sin debt in full to any who ask Jesus into their hearts and confess Him as Lord and Savior.

Let there be blessings, favor and more good news for these to dear ladies Lord Jesus. Shine upon them, hold them close Lord. Ease their pain, and let them enjoy many more wonderful days with their families.

I ask this in Jesus precious and Holy name. Amen.

Thank you for your continuing faithful prayers.

My mil is now able to walk twice a day except that the hospital staff is not always available to walk her. One helpful factor is that they decided that she didn’t need the feeding tube during her walks. Thus, her son might be allowed to walk her on his own depending on circumstances at the hospital and permission.

My mother is holding in there with occasional days of improvement and occasional days of feeling exceptionally tired and weak. Because of circumstances yesterday, my wife and I left church during the sermon so that I could look after mother. Thankfully, I didn’t have the sermon yesterday.

Something else to pray about:
The stress of trying to be at two places at once on Sundays is wearing me down—along with my CFS/ME making me less able to cope with stress. I’m considering asking to be dropped from the list of sermon givers. Also considering changing churches to the one right here at our apartment complex to facilitate my taking care of mother.

Thanks for your prayers. It's great that we can support each other with our prayers. It's greater yet that we have God's support.

Wow, so many things going on for you guys....Dear Lord, I ask for your guidance in all of this! There is a season for all things, and I know Jim may need a respite from his wonderful sermons...but he can come back to them later. Lord, help him to follow his heart, and do what makes him feel comfortable with his decision.

Lead him and guide him, and let him know You are behind him in all ways.

Thank you dear Lord.

Please care for your servant, Jim, and all of his needs.

In Jesus name.

love

Dear Gracious God and Father, we want to thank You for helping this precious couple who are honoring their parents even in their elderly years of their lives. May You grant Jim and his wife the strength to continue to be
special caregivers to their mothers. May You give Jim the wisdom to know what is best for him to do. May You bless them and others who are being a service to their loved ones. In the precious name of Jesus. Amen

Father, Thank You for Jim's faithfulness to his mother's care, and thank You for his desire to serve in his church. Your servant is weary and needs to discern Your Will for prioritizing the church's needs, his mother's needs, and his own health issues. Help him see clearly what needs to be done, and I ask that You heal his body while also giving him strength and comfort. I pray that You will continue to give his mother good days, and that You will continue to heal his MIL. Father, please lead, guide, and direct Jim and his wife as they make the important decisions ahead. I pray that Your Perfect Will is done in their lives, and I praise You for the outcome of this.

In Jesus' Most Wonderful NameI pray,
Amen.

Update and Praise:

1.
My wife’s mother might be released from the hospital today. Yesterday, they removed the feeding tube and she ate three meals of specially prepared soft food. The therapist taught Wilma’s brother (their mother’s main caregiver) how to prepare food for his mother to enable her to swallow it.

2.
My Senior Pastor said he understands my situation and asked me to write an explanation he can read to the congregation so that it will be in my words and so that they will not wonder why I stopped coming. He, my Senior Pastor, also expressed his desire to consult with me concerning plans and situations in our congregation. We both hope to have weekly meetings (tentatively on Monday evenings) to discuss and pray about congregational plans, decisions, the Bible, and anything else that may come up.

Thank you very much for your loving prayers. God is wonderful the way He comes to our rescue.

Father,

Thank You for helping Jim handle this situation in a godly and professional way. I pray that You will grant him many blessings because of his strong desire to serve You and meet his family's needs as well. Keep his mother in good health, give her a clear mind, and help her eat well. I also thank You for the good news about his MIL. Help Jim's BIL be able to feed her at home, and I pray that they will be able to get into a good routine for her care. Lord, thank You for all that You do for us and for hearing and answering our prayers.

I pray in Jesus' Holy name,
Amen.

Your prayers (our prayers) are being answered.

My wife’s mother is continuing to improve and I am becoming better able to look after my mother.

Yesterday was the first Sunday that my wife & I went to the small church that meets here at our Apartment Complex and the Pastor, a retired Missionary, called on me (on my first day there) to give the Offertory prayer. My wife and I felt relaxed and at home at the service. Today, our Pastor (of our home church) called, told me about yesterday’s service at our home church, said that he explained to the congregation why my wife & I were not there and said that they all understand and will be praying for our mothers. He & I hope to meet tomorrow for prayer.

The new arrangement is going well. God’s hand is in it. Thank you all for your prayers.

Thank You, Heavenly Father for such wonderful people who are willing to take care of their precious parents, and we are so grateful that they are able to do this for them. We are so pleased to hear how their pastor and church members have responded in such a Christ-like way! May You continue to help them to maintain good health and strength to be a service to their parents. In the name of Jesus. Amen
