The salmon was terrible, yet again, so that's it-- I've given up on making salmon while we're still living in this area. Just can't get any decent quality, non-bitter/non-fishy (much less fresh) salmon. We'll just have to take our fish oil capsules.

I get coarsely ground peppercorns from the store (Bulk Barn here in Canada). Make my burger patties, sprinkle some peppercorns on a plate, and press the patties in the peppercorns. I cook them as usual on the George Foreman.

I use, oh, maybe 1 tsp of peppercorns per patty, more or less.

AMEN Gerald,

Wow. my wife and I moved in July from Albuquerque; we lived on the SW Mesa. I'm in green chile withdrawl. Perhaps we'll have to pack up the RV and make a week of it to overload.

CCPizza makes a mean alfredo spinach green chile chicken pizza, for a buffet. If there are any CC's left that is.

We are having burgers from Biff Buzby Burgers off of Toepperwein in San Antonio, 1/4 lbs not the 3lbs red baron. Whew. Served with Mexican style beans.

Decided last-minute to get Chinese take-out last night, so tonight it's whole grain spaghetti and homemade meatballs, spring greens with homemade honey-lemon dressing, and red wine. Shabbat Shalom to us!

I made tuna casserole for hubby. I wasn't in the mood for that, so I'm having clam chowder out of a can.

And no, there's no significance to all the seafood on a Friday during Lent. Coincidence.

Salami on white bread with sandwich spread and lots of mustard potato salad cold from the fridge. Oh I forgot, habanero peppers with the sandwich.

Jesus said he preferred people to be hot or cold, and so I'm taking Him at His word.

I'm a literalist in more ways than one, dont cha know.

Ha! So my tepid tea was unacceptable?

We had KFC tonight. Big Crunch sandwich combos and chicken strips.

how do you like the KFC sandwiches? I have made a point of not eating KFC since the early 70's. Perhaps I should decide to give them a try again?

I got tired of consistently pink at the bone or worse chicken from them, after they started playing with the original recipe.

Oops. I just revealed more about my age.

I like the KFC sandwiches. They're similar to the crispy chicken sandwiches at other fast food restaurants.

We haven't had a problem with undercooked chicken at our KFC. Greasy, yes; undercooked, no.

Honestly, it's a heart attack restaurant. If you don't have the addiction, there's probably not much sense starting it up.
