Got a 10K run in today.

Thursday I did my 400 crunches holding 8lbs of weight.

400? Wow-That's fantastic. Do you break them up into sets? I thought I was all that when I could 20 on the incline board at the gym.

I usually hit the abs twice a week, between lifting sets. I'll do a set of 20 on the incline board-than use that hanging ab thing...(?roman chair??), do another set of 20 on the incline board, and then use the ab wheel.

I got in 3 days last week. I bailed on Thursday when I got off work early because of a black out at work, and then Friday I went home sick. I thought I was sick at least, but it was the dumb digestive problems I get. :( So this is a new week and I am on plan and tomorrow I will be upping my speed on my run. I want to get back to a 10 min mile, but first I must hit a 12 min mile.

I do 200 on my back and then I do 100 while laying on my side and flip and do the other side.

So I guess... I do 3 sets.

My run got canceled this morning due to driving rain.

Next run is scheduled for Wed.

This weekend I'll be going to Acquire the Fire so not sure I'll get my long run in... ah well... might go on Friday instead of Sat.

i didn't post yesterday or sunday i think. but i did do my regualr routine on sunday. yesterday i decided to increase my elliptical workout to 1300 calories instead of 1200. it was a little difficult yesterday. i thought it would be easy since i normally do over 1200 calories each time and at times it's close to 1250 calories. what's another 50 calories? only 2.5 minutes or about 1 song. and i have the energy for it.
we'll see how things go today. i'm thinking of doing the usual 1200 just to keep from overworking myself.

Hello! Did my run last night. I upped my speed and it was a good run. Yeah!

Tonight is my step class and I need to get out of work and do my weights. I also want to do extra at the gym tonight because I did not get to do my full workout yesterday. We will see how I feel.

Got in just about an hour today. I'm really going to concentrate more on leg toning. Those legs give me more trouble/pain than anything so I really need to build up strength!

got my routine in today. i was aiming for 1200 calories on the elliptical and missed. i did 1300 instead...my new target on the elliptical.
did the assisted dips and chin ups today. haven't done them in about a good month. it was 100 times easier today.
tomorrow is my day off. i'm looking forward to it.

I did my step class but that is it. I barely made it through that. I am catching the cold my husband had last week, and I am hoping it will make a quick exit.

Three hour water time on Sunday. Skipped Monday and Tuesday to recover. Had an awesome swim this morning. After only a few weeks, I'm really starting to feel stronger. I was working on choreography after my workout this morning and kept running out of pool. Now if only I can cover the pool that well in competition.

Man, was I spoiled by that pool... indoor, 65 feet, rarely more than one person per lane swimming, well maintained, and included in my rent. I don't think I realized how lucky I was.

Oh man! I'm so jealous of your old pool.

Me too! I miss it like crazy.

Well, I only got to the gym twice this week, but missed two workouts because of lunchtime appointments. However, my achievement for this week is that I am now 7 months pregnant and still working out. Even if I do want to laugh at myself in the mirror... latin cardio classes looks funny with my big belly!

I second the yoga recommendation. I've been doing a yoga/pilates class for years now, and I find I am much less prone to injury or overuse when I'm going regularly.

I have a time issue that's preventing the yoga/pilates. I thought I found some online classes, but that was a bust. I don't know of any 5a classes and that would cut into my pool time which I don't want to happen. If I go at night, I won't be able to wake up in time for the 5a pool time. Unless I find something to do at home, it ain't happening. I'm already bitter that I spend so much time away from home as it is. I'm not about to add to that.

After 10 years of commuting Long Beach to Burbank then Santa Monica to Burbank, I'm so over this stupid traffic. If I wasn't sitting on freeways for so long every day, I'd be much more willing to seek out a class.

It has been worse, though. My commute from Long Beach to the Westside averaged 2 hours one way. The drive was only about 20 miles. Needless to say, there wasn't a day when I wasn't in tears. The only good thing about it was that there was a gym at the office. I would swim in the mornings then stay after work to run until traffic calmed down. There's a gym in my office building now, but I'd have to pay for a membership. That's just stupid considering that I already pay for a Ballys membership and I have to pay for the Swim Center.

.... hey Reach!

Can I check in? I'm not as active as a bunch of the rest... (Leslie Sanson DVD's is about all I have time for. )

My goal is to exercise for a minimum of 20 minutes every day... This week I exercised on Tues, Wed, Thurs... so I'm heading in the right direction! I even got my girls to do it with me at lunch time! How cool is that?

Rach

...... awe shux! You guys make me feel loved! (and normal!)

It was a dreary Saturday yesterday. As a family we didn't do anything yesterday!!!! Just before supper time (I couldn't bear the thought of eating dinner without doing some type of exercise!) I broke out the DVD. I got the girls to go most of 3 miles with me!

The girls and I talked about how God made our bodies to move and if we sit all day... we mess up our systems. It was fun.

I'm a little sore today.... but will see if they will go a mile with me after church tonight.

Hi Rach!!!!!!!

Yeah!!!!

I did not work out on the weekend, it is my time of rest. I am also still sick, so I am not sure how I will do tomorrow, but I don't want to let a dumb cold stop me.
